A Little About Me

Hi, I'm Toni! ♡

I'm so glad you're here!

I'm originally from Pennsylvania, but in 2016, I packed up and made the move to Middle Tennessee, which I've called home ever since.

I'm a homeschooling mom, chicken lover, and the person behind Toni's Feathered Cluckers DNA Lab.

My days are usually filled with a little bit of everything — working, homeschooling, spending time with my family, caring for my chickens, and running my DNA lab. Life stays pretty busy around here, but I wouldn't have it any other way!

When I'm not busy with my family or my feathered friends, one of my absolute favorite things to do is head to the beach!

I love beach vacations, soaking up the sunshine, walking along the shoreline, and beachcombing for little treasures. There's just something about the ocean that makes it the perfect place to unwind and recharge.

I've always been someone who loves learning new things and diving headfirst into whatever catches my interest. What started as a few backyard chickens eventually turned into a passion for genetics and a business I never imagined I'd own.

At the end of the day, I'm just a mom who loves her family, her chickens, a good beach vacation, and turning something she's passionate about into something meaningful.

Where It All Began

My Original Flock

My chicken journey began with Rhode Island Reds and Barred Rocks.

At the time, I never could have imagined that those first birds would eventually lead to 17 breeding pens and a poultry DNA lab.

This picture will always be special to me because it reminds me where it all started — just a simple love for chickens that grew into something so much bigger.

The Ermine Ameraucanas That Started It All

My Ermine Ameraucanas hold a very special place in my heart.

As I worked to develop the best Ermine lines possible in my own flock, I found myself diving deeper and deeper into the fascinating world of poultry genetics.

I wanted to understand not just what my chickens looked like, but the genes they carried and how those genes could shape future generations.

That curiosity is what led me down the path of building Toni's Feathered Cluckers DNA Lab.

From Passion to Purpose

From Poultry Breeder to DNA Lab Owner

The more I learned about genetics, the more I realized how valuable DNA testing could be for poultry breeders and backyard flock owners.

Having reliable information about a bird's genetic traits can help make more informed breeding decisions, plan future pairings, and better understand your flock.

That's how Toni's Feathered Cluckers DNA Lab was born — from the perspective of a breeder who truly understands the excitement, goals, and challenges that come with raising poultry.

Today, I offer avian gender testing, blue egg gene testing, and recessive white gene testing with a focus on affordability, accessibility, and personal service.

My goal is to help fellow breeders feel more confident and informed about the birds they raise.
